Accessing your application in the StarRez Student Housing Portal

Step 1: Go to the Student Login link.
Step 2: If this is your first time creating an application account, select your classification as “First Year Student” or “Continuing College Student”.
Step 3: Go to the Housing Application link.
Step 4: Choose the application term appropriate to you and select Apply.

Three application options are available:

  • Undergraduate or graduate students, select Academic Year 2024-2025 application
  • Students with spouses and/or dependent children, select Village Apartment Family 2024-2025 application
  • Students part of the Tseng College IPP and SAC programs, select IPP Spring 2024 application

Step 5: Complete all required section of the application, review/sign the license agreement and pay the application fee. Note: There is no application fee for the IEP application.
Step 6: After your payment is submitted (if applicable), you will be directed back to the Student Housing Portal to view your countersigned license agreement — only then your application is considered submitted.

Note: If you are under the age of 18, your parent or guardian will need to sign your license agreement.

Have you set up your MataCard? All CSUN Student Housing residents will need to have their MataCard set up for after-hours entry into Student Housing.

MataCard is your secure digital CSUN ID card. It replaces the need for a physical ID card and serves as a convenient form of campus identification accessible via your iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy or other eligible Android phones.

Please visit the MataCard website for instructions on how to set up your MataCard.
